Boy, you are patient

Ta Da !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do you not just LUV the pillars/columns ??
it's not a bathtub..... it's art !

my assistant getting things ready for the photo shoot

her work is never done

new cupboard and closet
Stop worrying, Brad, the paint job is great !

laundry room cabinets
hey, how'd that dirty laundry make it into the photo shoot?
doncha love the marmoleum? hey, if I gotta hear it, so do you.

the toilet paper packages were measured countless times, and here is the result
A PERFECT FIT - we expect nothing less from the master measurer
yes, the wine bottles were measured, too.

limestone floor tiles, and yes the sink is the same as the other bath.. same toto toilet, too.

the view from the throne
hey, why aren't we watching something in hi def ?

Loving the Contractor

Brian and Gina in their new favorite laundry room.
They LOVE THEIR MARMOLEUM FLOOR.

The blogger poses. Really we're watching a bball game in hi def.

a little backwash with your bath?

This is SO NOT the picture we wanted to take today. But given the choice of roto rooting or pulling up the carpet to get to the crawl space to fix erroneously plumbed tub, toilet, washing machine, sink, etc...... well, this was painless. I guess being un-functioning for almost a year, the roots really take hold in the lines. who knew? Yet another reason to kill off the grape vines.

Back to Dingle we go

That's right, 10.5 miles yesterday, along some nice flat path somewhere near Southcenter. Nice slow, easy pace. The injured leg is FINE. The non-injured leg has started asking questions, like "what, no massage for me?" "hey, how about a little needle work on this side of the bod?" "can I get some ice here, please?" "no LUV for the right side? is this a political statement?"

Actually, it's ok, but is trying to remember what running is about after the little layoff.

Back to March Madness, in Hi Def . Really great for these failing eyes.
Cannot believe the Yuck-eyes got away with that win.

Yes, I did spend a little time yesterday afternoon at Murphy's Pub. Same scene every year. Might have to try something(where) new next year. Dingle comes to mind.

31 days

OK, so the 6 miles on Wed. went great. Did some elliptical cross training today. Will try to throw down 10-12 miles on Sat. And we'll re-evaluate from there.

So, all is done on the remodel. (well, some outdoor painting and cleanup work but who cares about that?) Let's get some photos up here.

Joe setting up the pillar with Evan's help.

Brian, drawer pulls for a finishing touch.

Gina helping out with some base shoe installation, a bit of infinished work from the desk job 2 years ago. And you'll notice the computers are missing. Took them in to get a vacuum job and update of the anti-virus software.

So................. well, I've got to get some "good" shots for final remodel pictures.

Patience, people.

Did I mention it's March Madness time ? My favorite holiday, and it lasts for a month and includes St.Patty's day. Yahoo !

and my leg feels good.

What day is it ? March 12

And we all know what that date is.............. OK, it's birthday day for Traci AND Cornie Brown. mother/daughter shared birthday. sweet.

Do I have a photo? you betcha. and what luck, Yo Adrian, Traci's sister is in town and well, we have a picture of her, too, don't we??

Sure we do. nice.

So, I've had 3 days of treadmill running / walking and things have progressed NICELY since last week. I should say, since my last accupuncture treatment.
THANK YOU TAMI !!! and yes, I've been gobbling those herbal horse pills. Today there was no pain whilst running. Yahoo. (any chance to use the word whilst)
And I met up with my PT dude, Dan D. and he says to get out there and start running and put in the miles.

So, we'll see how it all goes. One more pool running session tomorrow. Let's not rush things. Then shoot for 6 on Wed. and a longer one on the weekend.
Now, to read more about the major snubbing of the UW yesterday. No NCAA and no NIT, either. ouch.

Remodel finished ? not so fast

We are anxiously awaiting the carpet baggers, I mean, installer. This should be one of the last pieces of business but we / the guys had a small problem with bathroom medicine chest install.. and I hate to say it, but it's the same problem good old Joe had on the last remodel. Say it ain't so ! So the opening was too big so that meant some mudding and taping, which means more sanding and painting. Gina warned them it happened last time but (faulty measurements in the spec sheets) So that still has to be done. Oh, and the tile guy stopped by to ask permission to delay putting in the backsplash in laundry area because he' backed up on some other huge job. And we're so nice we told him not to worry. Well, he does have a very Italian last name and word is he's got "connections". And we watch enough tv to know it's best to not upset members of the family.

And hey, the blind installers come tomorrow. I should be able to photgraph that project and they'll never even know I was there.

Carpet guys are here !!

I'll post a some of the sidewalk shots.

Oh, and leg is slightly better. Until yesterday. But maybe it's just a slight setback. I'm off to the pool for more "running in the deep end".
