CRASH ing the party

Did anyone see this one? not me. But I'm so busy reading every running blog, I don't have time for movies.

I give the Oscar to Clooney for best acceptance speech. Sorry, Reese, I know you're a real woman, but to me, it just doesn't MATTER.

Hey, the Zags in another OT thriller ! which was what we were really watching and flipping to the Oscars. Because, like Capote said, it's NCAA basketball that MATTERS. Yes, JC, I did watch your beluv-ed T(w)erps win today. Kind of a close one, eh?

And for anyone interested in my running issues, I think I have given up the ghost on the Boston marathon for this year. This, expletive deleted, foot just isn't healing up well enough to put in the miles before April. So, maybe I'll take some time off the running, catch up on my swimming and put in some more butt time on the bike. At least there will be lots of bball to watch while I ride.

Now, upon accepting the BLOSCAR for best adaptation and spewing of B.S. --- I'd like to thank..

my agent, wait, I don't have an agent.
Leslie, my coach
my friends, you know who you are
Dicky V, "get a TO, baby"
Tami, my accupuncturist
Leslie, my rolfer
Bill, my PT
Chet, my shoe guy and Ty, and Tom, and John, and Sean (I gotta lot of shoe guys)

Cornie, our house sitter
My neighbors, for getting rid of their dog
Patrick at the Stick dot Com
ABB, my inspiration
Gina, my inspiration's god mother
Mia, Julie, Joy, Brandi, and Abbie (not Amy)
My sisters, too numerous to mention well, ok, Joan, Mary, Patty, Catherine, Maureen, the music has started
My brother, but he's not paying attention to this drivel
Aunt Louise
My mom, who is truly beginning to understand that I wasted those college years
My dad, who would have been a beautiful blogger
Cousin John, for getting me started on this path of blog-ism
The Paloozers !
Traci, whew, remembered my friend's name
Did I say Gina ? who wishes I wouldn't mention her name on this blog, much less twice
Sandra Schmerler, the curler

and remember,
I'M MAD AS HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Word, dog. Just a note from the hood...Re: the Boston...theme music pipes in "It's hard out here for a gimp". And it DOES matter. I LOVED her speech. OK, Clooney is first in my book...who woulda thunk it? He is Mr. McDreamy to me. Or is it our favorite trash-talker, A Morrison? Nice night though a little disappointed in Jon Boy...thought he'd be a little more cutting edge. Just a butta knife last night. Fade out to credits...and it's a GOOD thing you remembered my name.

yay! i am mentioned! by the way, I AM mad as hell and I'm not gonna take it anymore.

just kidding... i couldn't think of anything to trump Traci's "hard out here for a gimp." she is funnier than I am. I must leave, the pain is too great.
love, Abb

or,
"Most Inspiring Godchild In Existence!"

well, truth be told, sista... i didn't really get down wit the ref, until abb (my inspiration) made me think about it. cuz i don't listen to gangsta rap, even when it wins Oscars. rumor has it that genre leads to cop killing, and i can't do the time.

peace, out

So glad I got a mention in the big list. Although I was hoping for something a bit more individual and not lost in that big crowd of sisters. AFterall, I am numbero uno.
On a more serious and rather sentimental note, I did love your thought about Dad. You are absolutely right. He would have loved this medium. I was just thinking of him today because I was visiting a school where my friend, the principal there, was out of town due to the death of his dad.
Sigh.
