Fuzzy Feelings

So, last week we brought the bikes upstairs to ride indoors on the trainers. And I was immediately grossed out. The bento box was absolutely green with fuzz growing everywhere. Then I looked a bit closer.. Not just the bento, but the pedals, and the down tube (how's that for technical bike talk?), and OMG the grips near the brake hoods. It's like I must have spilled an entire meal while riding. Which is possible since my bike handling skills are notorious. Notoriously BAD.

I never do clean my bike. Like the car, I figure the mechanics will wash it when I take it in for a tune up or tire change. With the car, it's usually a $900 car wash. Not that bike parts and labor are cheap. I digress.

Anyway, I had big plans to clean her up today. But the Zag's game was good til the last second. And then miraculously, my FBook scrabble game 'allowed' me to play. (it likes to only partially load, or should i say l o a ......) So I HAD to play a few moves. And 3-6pm is Colin's hour on the radio. Colin is a kid we've know as long as we've known AnnaLise. He is a student (and DJ) at Kenyon College. and miraculously I was able to figure out how to listen in. And I poured a beer. and enjoyed the tunes.

I'm now wondering if the clicking around I did for the radio station streaming had anything to do with the scrabble appearing. hmmmmmmmmmmm... And I should go check my iTunes cuz that probably doesn't work anymore.

OMG, I totally digress. I did not clean my bike.

but the link to the radio station is...........

welcome back, ann

so, since facebook this world famous blog has suffered. or not, depending on your point of view.

i'm practicing on my new netbook and so far the space bar key is notmy friend. :) i can see how one wouldbecome a 2 finger typist if usinga small keyboard a lot. but the good new is,i can post from anywhere now, if i bring my little buddy along.

so, where did we leave off? the gym.... thesituation has improved. the more obnoxiousdude/owner got fired. the remaining owner (tony) won't say but rumor has it alcohol use (over usage) was an issue with the other guy. and the other guy was the sleazier of the 2. since is departure things seem better. all the regulars seem to be taking back ownership. more conversations, etc. we still all miss the tons of folks who left but the core group has re-bonded. Now if only Rock & Beverly would return... come on !

my running? has gotten better. struggled thru the summer with a bad butt. The knee is all better. But the butt was holding me back. Did some grafton therapy, aka TORTURE on it, and i sit and roll on a ball... and it's getting pretty good. We've spent the fall running5k's and 10k's. Dawg Dash, Pumpkin Push, Irongirl, Scary 5k, and today the Wiki obstacle course 5k. since i'm still practicing, and not attempted adding phots to this machine yet i'll spare you. for now.

ok, so there it is... a blog posting. thanks. atr

If you must make protest signs, Learn to Spell

Thanks to www.themudflats.net for these photos. Mudflats is an Alaskan blogger, who is funny and insightful on the political scene in that state. It always reminds me why I would never live there.

These folks are protesting the addition of the words "sexual orientation" to the state law about denying housing or education or reason to be fired from a job.

So, no mis-spellings here but I wanted to post this one next to the one below that says "gays recruit children". Is this just a really short, youthful looking heterosexual adult?

kind of hard to see but it's corrupted, with one r

Mudflats line is "honk if you can spell"

this is a talk radio show jerk in Alaska, and a good friend of the governor
