I had my 5 week follow up appt. with the surgeon. He immediately starts in again with the time frame for recovery for the various age groups (under 30, 30-50, and 50+) and is telling me how I should be feeling due to my age, what I 'should' be able to do, maybe run at week 12 .... but wait a minute ! No, I don't have pain walking down stairs (thank allah cuz our house has quite a few) and Yes, I can kneel on it ( I think he liked it when I proved it, kneeling before the almight surgeon) and Hey! I'm using the elliptical machine, and spinning, and swimming, and look at that photo... is that almost a complete knee flex ?? He had to admit that I was not "acting my age" and said I was more in the 30-50 grouping. So, of course, I put myself at the lower end of the range. :) You can see by the look on his face, that doc is quite pleased with the results of his work. He said 8 weeks out, or maybe a bit earlier, I should try running a bit. But probably not ride the bike with the clip in shoes til almost Sept. We'll see about that. If my foot isn't hampering things I'd be feeling pretty good.

My acupuncturist buddy, Tami Hansen...
She's the reason for my knee flexibility.

Hate sandals?! How can you be related to me and hate sandals? I LOVE sandals. Would wear them year round if I could - and NOT with socks. That's the whole point of sandals. You don't have to wear socks.
Glad to hear you've got the body of a 33 year old and that the good doc is happy with your progress.
You would make the perfect American tourist with those socks and sandals! Make the ocks black and you got a "look" going on. And yes, we all know you are a speciman!
